Actress. Born on November 5, 1963, in Los Angeles, California. Child star of Hollywood films of the 70's; the daughter of Ryan O'Neal and actress Joanna Moore. She won an Oscar as best supporting actress for her memorable portrayal of her first movie, Paper Moon (1973). She is the youngest person ever to win that award. Returning to the screen after a three-year absence, she received $350,000 and 9% of the net profit for playing the role of a fearless Little League pitcher in The Bad News Bears (1976) thus becoming the highest-paid child in the history of the movies. She appeared only sporadically as a young adult in films of the 80's and early 90's. She made her New York stage debut in 1992's "A Terrible Beauty". In 1986 she married vitriolic tennis star John McEnroe, but their marriage later ended in divorce.
